With departure from Funchal, the Madeira Viewpoint circuit will take you on an amazing journey between the blue coastline and the green of our island´s mountain ranges. After a passage through city downtown, we will visit the Cristo Rei monument and belvedere in Ponta do Garajau where you can also observe Funchal bay from east side of the Island.
The next viewpoint is Eira do Serrado, located on the «island´s heart, enjoy the superb view over Curral das Freiras, a picturesque village that was, according to history, the refuge of the nuns during the assault of French pirates in 1560.
After visiting Pico dos Barcelos, we will continue to other viewpoint, Miradouro do Rancho, a privileged location for taking panoramic photographs over the fishing village Câmara de Lobos, the beach and Fajã dos Padres. Towards the starting point, we finish with a passage through the bay of Câmara de Lobos, where by itself, the image will be worth a thousand words.
